FEZ ERG-CHEBBI MARRAKECH TOUR 04 DAYS

01^st Day : Fez – Middle Atlas – Merzouga Desert – Camel trek and accommodation in the Berber tent .

We will pick you up at your hotel/riad and leave Fez traveling to Ifran, a beautiful mountain village, known as “the Switzerland of Morocco” and then to Midelt. During this trip, you will experience glimpses of the Middle Atlas and High Atlas mountains. Stopping in Azrou, a Berber village in the middle of the famous cedar forest, the largest in Morocco, where the Barbary apes can be seen. After some time inside the forest, your journey continues to Midelt along the magnificent foothills and Atlas Mountains, after the town of Midelt you will travel through the fascinating Tizi N’Talghamt Pass and Ziz Gorge, enjoying the views of the High Atlas plateau, you will notice how the landscape changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the town of Errachidia, here you will have lunch and enjoy the Berber hospitality. You will then travel along the lush Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views along the way to Erfoud and Rissani. Arrival in Merzouga in the afternoon. You will be greeted with a glass of mint tea before your camel ride, guided by an experienced camel to explore the golden sand sea of ​​Merzouga. Dinner in front of the tent where you will spend the night.

2^nd Day : Merzouga Desert – Nomadic Families – Tissardmine Oasis – Khamlia – Erg Chebbi

This is a full desert day. “Date with the sunrise” If you are in the middle of the desert, it is worth getting up early to watch the most spectacular sunrise you have ever seen on top of a dune near the camp and enjoy this landscape that is a gift of nature. After sunrise we return to Merzouga on the camels where a hearty breakfast awaits us. Then we will border the Erg Chebbi, a large expanse of sandy desert where we can find the Great Dune of Morocco. which is more than 250 meters high. We then continue along the road that was previously used for the “Paris – Dakar” and ends in the mountains that border Argelia. Stop at the oasis of Tissardmin where we can find fossil quarries still present in the area, we continue on a path where we can see nomadic settlements and learn their secrets and manners. The next stop will be at a viewpoint to contemplate the Erg Chebbi hole. We will arrive at the village of Khamilia, originally from Mali, where we will have a relaxing cup of tea while listening to a concert of spiritual Gnawa music. Transfer to your accommodation and free afternoon to enjoy the city or the dunes next to the hotel to watch the sunset. Dinner and night at the hotel.

 Day 03 :  Merzouga Desert – Rissani Market – Erfoud Fossils – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

We leave the desert after breakfast for Rissani where we will visit the market (market days: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday), then continue to Erfoud where we can visit the fossilized marble manufacturers before starting our way to Touroug palm and Tinjdad . groves An hour later we will arrive at one of the best places in the High Atlas, the Todra Gorges. The course of the river has carved out the cliff canyon and is very popular with climbers due to its beauty and high rock sides. Free time for lunch in this wonderful place. A walk through the gorges is highly recommended to better appreciate the beauty of the landscape. In the afternoon we continue to the Dades valley, also known as the valley of figs passing through Boumalne Dades, we will stop at the “monkey legs”. Dinner and night in the Dades Gorges.

04^th  Day  : Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech

After breakfast, we can enjoy one of the best views of the Dades Valley from a strategic viewpoint in the mountains, from there we can appreciate the large number of kasbahs and the scenic characteristics of each one. Then we continue along a road point with different kasbahs of tourist interest. After a few stops to enjoy the “path of a thousand kasbahs”. The Valley of the Roses and the great palm grove of Skoura will arrive in Ouarzazate to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, former residence of the Glaoui or Marrakech pasha. And if you are interested, we can visit the film studios and the film museum. Half an hour from Ouarzazate, we will stop at the ksar (fortified village) of Ait Ben Haddou, where we will visit the famous Kasbah (declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986). Famous movies have been filmed in this spectacular stage, including Gladiator, Obelix, The Mummy, The Jewel of the Nile, Sahara with Penelope Cruz…etc. Free time for lunch in the city. In the afternoon we start our way to Marrakech passing through the mountain pass of Tizi N’Tichka with some stops to take photos. Here we leave behind the lunar landscape to reach another view full of colors. We will arrive in Marrakech around 6 p.m., transfer to the hotel and end of our services.
